How to Save on Plates
We know, it can be painful paying for printing plates. Depending on how many colors you need for your design, your plate fees can run into the quadruple digits. Here are a few tips that can help save some money on plates.
Consider making one custom “logo bag” that works for all your products. Print and apply a small “flavor” label unique to each SKU. This will give you a professional, branded look while keeping costs down. It also allows you the flexibility to manufacture the products that are selling without worrying that you’re sitting on packaging inventory for a less popular SKU.
Or...using the same “logo bag” technique, design with your plates in mind. Use one plate for the "flavor" (or ingredients or name) variable. Your logo and design plates will remain constant while swapping in/out the flavor/ ingredient/ name variable plate.
